2. Affordable Regulated Mods

Over the years, we've seen more and more regulated mods appear on the market and until recently regulated devices leaned more on the expensive end of the spectrum due to the lack of manufacturers, thus vapers were limited to only a handful of companies. Mods are now becoming more affordable, easier to produce, and more extreme. As more vapers are getting familiar with regulated vaping devices it has become the preferred e-cigarette device of choice and competition has grown to produce devices that suits everyone’s needs bringing you great companies like Smoktech, Aspire, Vaporesso, and much more. These mods vary in size, shape, and power while adding a plethora of extra features, such as safety features, memory settings, temperature control and much more.

3. Ultra-Portable Vape Devices

The vaping community is consistently growing and thus more and more people are being exposed to vaping and what this community offers. As vapers we rode the trends from mechanical mods to high wattage and high powered devices to the point where we now want something that is easy to use, compact, and delivers nicotine. Because of this it has led to a new wave of devices being produced that caters specifically to that consumer base.

4. Higher VG Ratios

This trend is closely related to the first. In the past, most juices were created with a ratio of 50 percent VG and 50 percent PG. An e-juice with a higher VG was primarily targeted at tricksters and cloud chasers because more VG would result in a thicker cloud. Now it seems as the new standard in VG/PG ratio is 70/30 with many companies offering Max VG juices.

This is partially due to the previous trend mentioned. More people are learning the joys of blowing huge, thick clouds when they vape. However, the VG also impacts the flavor and feel of the vape. It produces an overall smoother experience that is lighter on the throat, with the only downside being that because the e-liquid is now thicker it will take longer to wick if you are using a tank and if you are not careful or chain vape dry hits might be a issue.

5. Lower Nicotine Levels

As vaping is becoming more and more of a norm rather than a phenomenon people are vaping more through the years thus vapers desired nicotine strengths are lowering. When vaping first took off around 2014 we were seeing juice companies manufacture juice with nicotine levels of 24mg and 32mg, 3mg wasn’t even an option then. It was 0mg, 6mg, 12mg, 18mg, 24mg, and 32mg.

Now as vapes are being used more and consistently, we are seeing vapers lowering their nicotine levels. After all the main goal of vaping is to kick the habit of smoking cigarettes and nicotine dependence and this is living proof that vaping is working! Now it is even rare to see juice companies produce E-liquids over 6mg due to the fact that vapers are evolving and vaping is a better alternative to smoking.
